This guy's voice is celestial in comparison to nearly all of his contemporaries. Ewan MacColl (for example) was a master at conveying rhythm, but his voice seems to be wanting for melody, at least to my ears. Mike Waterson was a master of both, and to hear these melodies sung solo a capella is really incredible. The highlights (all from side 2) are "Tamlyn", "Swansea Town", and "Seven Yellow Gypsies", and they all underscore just how talented he is.
