Charlie Parker assembled a fine quintet for this Live session at The Royal Roost. Parker is surrounded byMax Roach on drums, Kenny Dorham on trumpet, Al Haig on piano and Tommy Potter on bass. Throughout the 10 tracks here the quintet is supported by Sille Jackson on vibes, Lucky Thompson on tenor sax, and a pair of vocalists in Dave Lambert and Buddy Stewart. Lambert and Stewart are featured on "Deedle No. 1" and "Deedle No. 2".
