A great singer taken way to soon. If you haven't heard this record you've never really heard Sam Cooke. The man had soul! His pop stuff while good belies his talent. This album tells you where his heart was.

What a tragedy. Sam Cooke rips it up in this live performance. So much passion in his voice. Along with James Brown at the Apollo, today's artist could learn how to perform from this album.
