To my ears, a complete return to form after the rare disappointment of Reeds & Deeds the previous year. The piano and bass are very poorly recorded, but it doesn't matter too much; this sort of thing happens in 1960s jazz sometimes. Kirk himself sounds great, and the music is fantastic. The listed track order isn't the same as the album, fwiw.
