Pretty good album from Mac.
Definitely his best work, I was so beyond impressed. I only wish he was here with us to hear the final product. Definitely should be top ten for 2020.

Just not my thing. The production is excellent. I like the existentialist bent. "Woods" is one of my favorite tracks of the year. But it's a little static and stripped down for my taste.
Good news is one of my fav songs, the other songs are also good. overall solid album.
"Circles" has a really interesting start. The first 4 tracks create a unique sound with its low-fi synth and piano. This is very pleasant at first but, as the album moves forward it never really develops into anything. The tracks become sparser and less memorable. Lyrically, I find it sincere but too minimalist for its own good.
Most tracks got something special, overall a good album.

Beautiful closure to his career. His final two records with Jon Brion are really getting to something special. Sad to know the world won't know what could've been next, but this is a beautiful ending.
Decent record, but overall a bit underwhelming in my opinion.
I heard the album now about 4 times and it's okay to hear. But it does not spark joy. I like to hear it when working, but no song was outstanding.

Not much depth. Enjoyable at first but not much replay value. Some of it is emotional in context.
