Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 9% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.8/100, a mean average of 72.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.9.

A complete and thorough rap album. Subdued and relaxing but evocative. He doesn’t waste a word. I like the jazz band and feel that they add a nice musicality to the record but as a whole the album is much more lyrical than musical. I really like a lot of the philosophical ideas that he proposes and if they aren't completely original.

Subtle music and poetic rhymes, but there was not so much which retained at the end. It didn't catches me. Highlight: Leaving Hell

A very chill jazz rap album. I'd never listened to R.A.P. Ferreira (previous went by Milo) before now but this project left me very impressed. If you're looking for energetic bangers, this might not be for you. However, the smooth instrumentation, thought provoking lyrics make this an album worth digging into. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface even after several listens. Each song invokes a feeling of nostalgia in me. It's like Ferreira is inviting me into his personal thoughts, sharing his experiences in a way that is very relatable. I can see this album growing on me as I continue to explore its narrative. Some standout tracks for me are CYCLES, Noncipher, Doldrums, and An Idea is a Work of Art.
