Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 26% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.6/100, a mean average of 74.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.3.

Jun20. Opener, 'Rogaland', takes a while, building into the song and album. It's worth the build up too. A cool song with some Hellacopters-like guitars in parts. Wow, the cool 'Crack of Doom' has a cracking pace and English vocals and a guest appearance by Troy Sanders (of Mastodon), and… just give it a listen.
This is going to feature highly in my 2020 H100 for sure. 'Necrosoft' is another cool song that starts like some of their older stuff, then turns into a quite heavy riff-fest. 'Discord' also features some vocals in English and has a ripping chorus. First single 'Bratebrann' I have been hammering for a while now. Close to 7 minutes of brilliance.
'Uglas Hegemoni' brings a bit of punk brashness to the album. This might surprise some, but I have been loving the near 8 minute 'Fanden da tett Hull!'. This is the main song I have been smashing at the time of writing this review. It is a soaring classic. It really takes off in the second half.
It is a solid finish from there, but not sure I would have ended the album with two long tracks. 4/5
