This is barely music, really. Just carefully curated ambient swells throughout, coupled with the odd gentle sound. But that description undersells this album as it's a wonderful piece of work. The opening suite, The Atomium, is one of the ambient greats, right up there with Brian Eno's compositions on his Ambient 1 LP - 22 perfect minutes, culminating in an eerie finale that will haunt you for hours afterwards. Stars Of The Lid are truly unique.
A mind-blowing drone ambient masterpiece. Just pure soundscape bliss. This LP has only 5 tracks and each one are perfect. A very special album to me.
