Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Maria mckee went in to do far better albums as a solo artist but some very decent songs here showcasing her fabulous vocal talents. A nice debut from a very talented artist
A decent debut for Lone Justice. It's a strong enough set of songs, but the real winner is Maria McKee's vocals, which unfortunately get buried in the production. It's heartland rock with an edge.
Recommended.

A decent debut album from a band that just didn't seem like they ever got their career off the ground. Maria McKee has one of those once in a generation voices; it's just too bad the songs on this record almost, but never quite, put her talents on display.
