For a short flash in time back in 1985 this was the biggest album on the planet topping the charts in more country's than it wasn't and T.F.F's were close to the biggest band. Heady times for 2 fellows from humble beginnings in Bath England
Listening to this album once more in 2019 for the first time since I was a teenager (yikes !) unfortunately it hasn't aged well. The hits still sound great but the remaining tracks sound , well ...very 80's . Meaning they were great some 34 years ago but not so much today
Big surprise for me was hearing the live tracks on this album , something that I hadn't recalled up until that point

Wow! Jesus just heard all way through probably first time since the 80s, and it's amazing! I knew it well which wasn't what I expected. I always had it down as just ok. The working hour is best of the lot.

An interesting mix of the pop readiness of Michael Jackson, the melodic sensibilities of Wham!, and the experiments of The Cure. I wasn't expecting this!

Superb synth-pop album, high points are really high and low points aren't that low.
Shout is a great explosive way to start an album, The Working Hour is smooth, jazzy, well-crafted pop song, Everybody Wants To Rule The World is great thoughtful lyrics mixed with catchy melody and fantastic production. I also like Broken and Head Over Heels is great romantic song. I Believe and Listen are both a bit boring and too long, but overall I love this album. (Edited)

One of the best pop albums ever made. Beautiful lyrics, stylish 80s sounds. And fantastic vocal art. Head Over Heels is one of the most beautiful pop bangers there is. (Edited)
