Love this album, it makes justice to the original with well-thought punchlines. Excellent writing technique.
Elzhi is a talented guy, perhaps one of the best MCs of recent times, and these beats could almost make any rapper sound a genius. Elzhi never quite hits the heights of Nas' flow and energy, and the instrumental sections feels a little drawn out - ruining the conciseness that made the original so tight. Still, the beats here sound fantastic, whilst the originals can sound a little dated nearly twenty years later - the charms not there, but they really pop and sound huge, which I think is a real treat for any fan of the original.
