This compiles the "hardcore miniatures" -- the short hardcore rock-jazz pieces -- from the first and second Naked City albums, Naked City and Grand Guignol. It's under 26 minutes long.
This record is an acquired taste. Most Zorn stuff is. He is a very self indulgent musician. Sometimes I think he pushes it so far just for the shock, look at me value. The cover art was banned in Japan and some countries in Europe I think. You can still find the original cover issue used but it's pricey.
