Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 12% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.9/100, a mean average of 74.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 75.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.3.

Not their finest work but a solid effort from a band that is continually evolving and consistently putting out quality music.
Pas fan des Deftones a leurs début et de toute la vague néo-métal. Mais la, l'album est consistent, les riffs accrocheurs, les ambiances réussies. Un sans fautes tout l'album !
Probably my least favourite of their albums. Doesn't hit the heights of their 2000s and 2010s work, but as always with Deftones there are some awesome sounds on the album. Highlights are Ohms and Ceremony.
Some compelling riffs but most songs lose themselves somewhere along the way, not in a good way. I like the first 5 seconds of pretty much every song. Not too much variety between the tracks.
This is an album to look up to as well as take into account for being their best work yet. Past albums have led deftones to evolve and make magic the way they've done and achieved at their triumph with OHMS. Theyre a completely unique band that will never release a bad album and get better as they go. this album captures the most surreal and atmospheric sounds that bind you to a plane unknown up until now by deftones AND music in general...
So far I still like White Pony better, but this album is really growing on me. Better than Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan. Can’t compare it to Around the Fur, that album has a much rawer sound to me, and has the nu-metal influence.
Such a refreshing album. I needed this record right now and the sound of this new offering from one of my favorite bands was well worth the wait. The band sounds so tight here with the keyboards and guitar right up in front with Chino's voice and I love it! This band keeps getting better, a fine addition to a stellar discography.
Favorite tracks: The Spell of Mathematics, Headless, Ceremony & Ohms.
Deftones come out with a well written album. After all theses years, I'm continually impressed by the quality this band posesses.
