Not too shabby. Decent album but most songs feel hollow for some reason. Not a fan of the closer.
Oct20. Well, at least opener, 'Dear Diary' has some cracking riffs. 'Parasite Eve' starts sounding like the soudtrack to one of those fashion adds like Boohoo. It has a couple of good moments, but hardly worth the rest. 'Teardrops' back to some good riffing to start, but it really doesn't need to be duplicated on keys. Not a bad song with a strong Linkin Park feel. 'Obey' is pretty cool with its screams and cool driving rhythm. 'Kingslayer' sounds like swearing for the sake of it - I don't buy into the fabricated anger here, especially juxtaposed with the bubblegum vocals of Baby Metal. It just doesn't work for me. None of the last few do much for me. The electronic elements are just too pervasive for my tastes here. A couple of songs into Checking Out list for further listens. 2.5/5
