Everything I want from jazz. For now I enjoy this more than Black Saint and Sinner Lady, and its the most enjoyable jazz record next to A Love Supreme. (Edited)

Mingus was a beast of a composer and live performance inducer.
He really knew how to set the band on fire.

Amazing bass work. Love that there's 4 saxophone players. Mingus always has this cigar smoking, whiskey shooting sound, and I love it. Fine work and I think it might be a contender for his best.
One of the best albums I listened to in my life!
The energy is through the roof on this one.
