One of the best ELVIS albums ever recorded, The Girl Of My Best Friend, Such A Night and Reconsider Baby stand out I also love his version of Fever and It Feels So Right a really great return.

The King really made a comeback with this album. I've always loved "Girl of My Best Friend", and have always thought it was underrated!

The first studio album I've played from the King' a well balanced album of blues,popular and slow no.s, favourites here 'Reconsider Baby' and 'Girl of my best friend'.

The first album Elvis Presley recorded after leaving the army. It's arguably his best, most consistent, and most enjoyable album. Great songs here; dirty, dirty feeling, the lovely, girl of my best friend, and the blues, reconsider baby, Elvis wouldn't record anything like that for a while after this. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from here until the resurrection in 1968. One of the few essential Elvis Presley albums.

I got this LP in hi-fi vinyl at 45 rpm as a doublealbum from a friend at Christmas a couple of years ago!
The quality of the recording knocked me out!! Especially the king's version of Lowell Fulson's "Reconsider baby" was a revelation.. What a fantastic track...I suddenly found myself as a fan of Elvis first recording in the sixties!

this is Elvis Presley at his best. He has the nashville cats, the guys who backed everybody in country music.Elvis handles the blues amazingly. The feeling is ,well all feeling. This album shoud be no 1 on this site,. You gotta listen.
