Adopting a much harder-edged sound for their second effort, Steriogram also lost some of their soul. Instead of leading most of the tracks and emulating some of the more useful and interesting rap rock of the era (whatever you think of it now, admit it, you kind of liked it back in the early '00s*), frontman Tyson Kennedy spends much of this album piping up slightly more often than your average hype man while capable-but-generic Brad Carter handles the main vocal duties with increased frequency from their first record*. Frankly, relegating Kennedy to more of a supporting role was a straight-up bad idea. It's not a terrible album at all*, it just feels like wasted potential in retrospect.

Get Up, Wasted, Satan Is a Lady, and Kare Kare still effin' rip*, even if Steriogram is largely forgotten, and even if their image, style, and music have aged like milk.

*Check it out if you're into time capsule rap-rock.
