Willie Nelson's best strength is songwriting and his vocals are not particularly exceptional. So when he produces a set of covers, and in this case standard torch songs, it's underwhelming when stacked against a version with a talented singer.
Not recommended.
The sequel to Nelson's Sinatra tribute album My Way is probably a bit more playful, but mostly an equal. Pleasant listen.
