Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 16% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.2/100, a mean average of 74.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.0.

There are moments of calming beauty, but ultimately it's a pretty drab EP.

Underwhelming EP, but still has moments of beauty that shine throughout the monotony.

That Joni Mitchell cover is heartbreaking. I truly think it's better than the original, and the original is amazing.

And that Bon Iver collaboration is pretty good. I remember when it came out and I was pretty excited, but it fell just a little under my expectations. Still pretty good though.

Very enjoyable EP.

the album is weaker than his other stuff, but fall creek boys choir is my dream collaboration.. and couldn't be any better than it is.

The first two tracks are different, and decent.

Once the extreme auto-tune started in "Fall Creek Boys Choir", I lost all respect, or 'tuned' out, if you will. :)

This was slightly redeemed in one of the best songs on the album 'Case Of You', which is not his song of course (it's by Joni Mitchell), but this arrangement sure does bring out the brilliant songwriting of Joni.

Not Long Now is creative; good but not great. Good use of weird songs, and distant voices. At the start I'm pretty damn sure I heard GLaDOS from Portal.

Enough Thunder is a straight piano ballad, with some voice effects. Nothing offensive.

Overall, not bad. Good, actually.
