This 16 song compilation of Edith Piaf's glory days (1935-1951) on SAGA Records/Sunnyside Records (Cat#:
Saga – SSC 3081, Sunnyside – SSC 3081) was released in 2008. It features some early poorly recorded technically songs and proceeds chronologically through improved recorded quality to her later years. The improvement in technology actually improves Piaf's voice allowing her to sound younger in the last cuts than she does in the first few songs on the album. A great starter album for one curious about hearing Piaf sing.
