Almost forgettable. but not hopelessly.
Buffalo Springfield had called it a day before Last Time Around was even released, but it was a nice go for such a supergroup. Stephen Stills and Neil Young would go on with solo careers and occasional encounters with Graham Nash and David Crosby. Jim Messina would go on to find Kenny Loggins, but not before him and Richie Furay produced the first excellent Poco debut "Pickin' Up the Pieces." Overall, Last Time Around is a nice set of songs with nothing particularity memorable, aside from Young's "On the Way Home," Stills' "Questions," and Furay's "Kind Woman."
The album art and title tell the tale...this is a release just before the band called it quits. Already looking ahead and away, this album has its moments, but ultimately sounds like the edge of the end for the Springfield.
Worth a listen, especially the B-side, which is a sweet send-off for the talented team of songwriters.

You can tell the band was done with each other. Some good tracks but definitely not up to their brilliant earlier releases.
Underrated. Some great gems here such as "Pretty Girl Why" & "Carefree Country Day."
The band was basically done by the time this was released and it kind of sounds like it.
