Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. This is an interesting album. I might call it something along the lines of atmospheric sludge-gaze. It has a production that I don't really enjoy; it seems way to reverby and muddy. When played very loud it certainly has a lot of power to it though...
