A comeback album after a near 15 year absence, this release by Johnny Rivers finds the singer/songwriter treading well-worn songs like Muddy Waters' "Rollin' Stone" and "Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye" previously performed by the Capris. However, his own compositions make up the lion's share of the tunes here and they rock just as easily. Released on Soul City Records after being recorded between 1996 and 1998, the dozen track album (Cat#: SCRI-3009) is a great reminder of the type of performer Rivers had been throughout his career.
