Released in 1995 as part of The Verve Label's "Verve Jazz Master Series" this album focuses on the epic collaboration of Jazz trumpeter Clifford Brown and drummer Max Roach, offering a dozen of their most musically challenging recordings of their association. (Cat#: 314 528 109-2) finds the pair working together with Sonny Rollins, Richie Powell, George Morrow, Barry Galbraith, Harold Land, Jimmy Jones, Quincy Jones and Vocalist Helen Merrill among others. Taken from sessions that occurred between 1954 to 1956, the pair demonstrate their unique synergy throughout the album. Authenticated on disocgs.com
