I hold this album in a ridiculously high regard. I love it so much and listening to it makes me so happy. Every track brings something to the table, but it is the one-two punch of Disco 2000 and Common People that separate this album from the rest of the brit-pop albums of the 90's. One of my favorite albums ever.

Best britpop album ever
Favoritas: Common People, Something Changed, Mis-Shapes, I Spy, Pencil Skirt
There is a saying...why arguing about who is better Blur or Oasis, when everybody knows that Pulp is better then both of them...
Different class, is the ultimate brit pop album. Jarvis Cocker's Pulp capture perfectly that British nineties attitude at the time of 'cool Britannia'. It's a superb record featuring some of the era's greatest pop songs. Mishapes, disco 2000, sorted for e's and whizz, are all superb, but the crowning glory is the brilliant, common people, possibly brit pop's greatest single. An excellent album then, great stuff.

This comment is beneath your viewing threshold.

Just a fun record. Doesn't necessarily strike me as a serious contender for consideration as one of the greatest 90s albums of all time, but it's worth listening to. It's giddy and energetic, I've just never held many britpop albums in very high esteem. With that being said, if this is your thing, Different Class is up there with the greats. I would much rather listen to this than Oasis.
First half of the album is great, then the 2nd half not so...

It's a little annoying when he does the creepy whispering thing, otherwise this is one of the best pop rock albums of the 90s
