Some good stuff but lacking overall. It sounds like it'd be much better live. They utilize the studio efficiently in "Poem By The Sea" but everything else seems constrained by the format.

Il "vento del cambiamento" Eric Burdon lo avverte meglio di chiunque altro della vecchia guardia inglese ( per vecchia si intende gente di poco più di vent'anni che era in giro da tre o quattro anni… ); così lui ed i suoi Animals confezionano un omaggio alla allora breve storia del rock'n'roll culminante nella neonata psichedelia citando, direttamente o no, Hendrix, Zappa, la scena di San Francisco ed omaggiando con una riuscita cover di "Paint it black" i Rolling Stones.
San Franciscan Nights is the highlight with such a beautiful chord progession and sweet performance.
Overall a good r&b/psychedelic album.
