The story goes that Robert Fripp discovered bassist Sara Lee playing in a small town in the West Midlands of the UK and asked her to join The League Of Gentlemen. She went on to perform with many other groups including The Thompson Twins, Gang Of Four, Robyn Hitchcock and Ani DiFranco. This 2000 release was put out by Righteous Babe Records (Cat#: RBR021-D) as her first solo effort. Lee's voice is haunting and her bass dominates the songs here, which are a combination of indie rock, funk, and soul. DiFranco composed a few songs that also feature her musicianship.
