Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 54.2/100, a mean average of 47.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 47.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 23.7.

This is the only album I have ever passed comment on which I don't own and will never listen to. Why did Roger Waters feel the need to re-create one of the best albums of all time? Is he lacking in musical ideas himself perhaps? 5 points awarded for quite an interesting sleeve design (which bares no resemblance to the original).

Without the spoken word and the original album this would be a fairly pleasant album. But in reality there is no reason to ever listen to this again.

Horrific. An absolute waste of time.
At best, they're weaker cover versions. At worst, they're massacres of classic songs.

Certainly intriguing, but some tracks are a lot better done on it than others and at times it can sound a bit too rambly

Not as bad as I thought it would be... Would not recommend at all unless you're a hard-core Pink Floyd fan.
