Skillet makes me laugh so hard, and not in a good way. I genuinely loathe their approach to putting out music. Pseudo-self help bullshit with riffs fit for children. Not music.

Metallica have been one of my favorite bands since I knew what heavy metal was but nearly everything about St Anger is terrible. The production, the “songwriting”, the fact that it’s a nu-metal inspired project that missed the boat on the viable nu-metal era by a couple of years. The drumming is clearly a cut and paste job, there are no solos, and James’s voice cackles and cracks under the weight of mediocrity.
