Whilst it would be easy to dismiss this stage musical soundtrack as fodder in comparison to the source material, such an attitude would not only be shortsighted but simply wrong. There’s much to enjoy here adding another dimension to an already landmark release. I particularly love the additional tracks “21 Guns” and “Know Your Enemy” from ‘21st Century Breakdown’ and have always argued a single album combining the best of American Idiot & 21st C.B.D would have made an all time masterpiece for the ages (should have included “Horeshoes & Handgranades” here and missed a tricked)
So put that in your pipe and smoke it
