9 years away seems to have given The Libertines a new lease on life. This is the grown-up record I don't think anyone was assuming would come from them - it might not be as alcohol soaked and drug-fuelled as some of their earlier efforts, but it's no less evocative of a moment in time than Up The Bracket.
