Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. Westerberg lost a little steam on this album. Despite his slight decline, he did not fall from grace in my book. He remains on the pantheon of great singer/songwriters of the late 20th century.
