Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.6/100, a mean average of 71.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 11.7.

Rock solid commercial electronica. Though pretty similiar in vein to Apocalyso. The later being preferable.

There are a few cornball moments on this follow-up to "apocalypso", like the "don't stop" chorus of "push" or a fair amount of "ghosts" reminding me of the more questionable aspects of early-to-mid-90's techno. (lords of acid comes to mind, although the presets don't follow their lude tendencies.) This sounds like right said fred produced by paul oakenfold with some guest lyric-writing by black eyed peas (and i heavily dislike the black eyed peas) or a less-complex panic at the disco -- like, what's the deal with the long countdown in "fast seconds"?? "AY! OH!"?? (with weird muffled tribal chant?) When they're on, they're on, as in "promises", a fine, catchy club number -- no dumbing-down necessary.
