Awful soundtrack to an awful movie.

One of, if not the standout film soundtrack of this century so far. Compliments the exceptional film it is part of in a truly phenomenal way, echoing its relentless, damning and intense feel in truly incredible fashion.
The brilliant blend of classic orchestral elements with electronic flourishes makes for a thoroughly modern and unique soundtrack that evokes The Dark Knight's feel as a movie in almost every note. That's what any good film score should do, and this one does it in stellar fashion, so much so you're reminded of just how good a film it is whenever you hear the distinctive sounds found here.
Hans Zimmer is without doubt a masterful composer with incredible talent that he has displayed throughout his career, but this is so far his greatest accomplishment. A soundtrack that truly expands and carries The Dark Knight and evokes the feel of the movie throughout. And as far as goosebump-inducing masterpieces go, this is one of the best.
