Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.3/100, a mean average of 78.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.7.

A thoroughly enjoyable record that is so fun to just rock out to whilst you listen along. It is full of great choruses and catchy riffs which infect me every time I listen to it. I sing along every time without fail and the music always makes me happy right up to the final track. The guitar playing on the whole is fantastic and really lifts the quality of the record up and when you add the vocal, which always stands out from other voices, you really have a deadly combo that will always succeed. However, I am not a fan of S&M at all and think it really drags the listener out of the album. The music does sound a bit similar to other groups as well which makes it tough for them to stand out. Overall, if you want a good time and some fun and catchy rock songs then listen to this.

Great songs, very melodic. The mix is unfortunately a little bit muddy. I believe they have slowed down the tapes just a little bit, don't know why.

Now this one is also really good. The opening song is a real burst of energy that fits the subject-matter really well. You really feel like you can get up and do whatever the fuck you want, right now. The ending of the song is such a heavy groove, just lovely. Through the album, the bass-playing is really pronounced, great sound with the picked style. S&M serves the album well as a change of pace with it's funky guitar but pales a bit in comparison to the rest of the songs. The best song on the album has got to be the last one. The introduction of a little Irish folk with the guitars is HUGE, really gives the song that fantastical feel. Generally I feel that the album could have used more songs like the last one. When you get to about "Get Out Of Here", it starts repeating itself as that song is quite similar to the first. The display of creative bravery in the last song would have helped the middle of the album a lot.

Best songs: Do Anything You Want, Got To Give It Up, Roisin Dubh (Black Rose) A Rock Legend.

Outstanding album, but "With Love" is why I don't give it a 10. It's a good track, but is nowhere near as good as the rest of the album. A lot of outstanding tracks.

This Lizzy is like a guilty pleasure band for me, but not really because they sound kind of goofy but they're actually really poetic and genuine, as opposed to other bands like poison and motley crue which they might get lumped in with if someone never actually listened to them.
