this is a noisy, jangly, energetic slice of alt/college rock that got a decent amount of attention back in 1990. it had the interplay of guy/girl vocals from John Strohm and Juliana Hatfield, who would both go on to lengthy careers after Blake Babies. juliana had her moment in the pop spotlight with "spin the bottle" and is still making music. john formed the bands Antenna and Velo-Deluxe before recording some albums under his own name and then becoming an entertainment industry lawyer.
