A similar but more consistent effort compared to their debut. The production is significantly better. Country Joe & The Fish continue their journey into electric psychedelia but incorporate more acoustics. Though the album as a whole is more tame, they still indulge themselves musically whenever they feel like it. The closer is a bit pretentious.
