In a short time, since "Fireside Favorites", Frank Tovey takes some big steps. The quality of the songs becomes much better, and so do the arrangements. Individual sounds are better mixed in the song. Some tracks shine because of the special atmosphere ("Saturday night Special" with its multiple sizzling layers of musical undermining is a jewel of a song) or the razor-sharp criticism of society (the same "Saturday night Special"). It is very strange that Frank Tovey seems to have been written away from the history of pop music. His consistent minimalism, use of industrial sounds, threatening voice ... have all had a major impact on the new wave, the cold wave and the dark wave. Such a shame. He made so many crowds dance to the beat.
