Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 11% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.8/100, a mean average of 73.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.2.

Banger. Very simple but great songwriting.

Always thought the title track was very excellent and finally listening to the album it's as good as you could probably get for this type of thing. 'this type of thing ' being not normally my thing but generally this is fairly agreeable. They don't seem naff and cheesy like many in this arena.

Bleed American and blink-182's self-titled effort helped transition emo from the 90s to the 2000s, ushering in a new wave. Bands would start popping up every other minute, the Fall Out Boys, the My Chemical Romances, and the Panic! at the Discos. This album is the last of it's kind, good emo.

Not really, but there was a whole tsunami of shit in the 2000s and this stands out for obvious reasons. (It's actually good.)

So far, every other pop-punk album I've gone back and listened to years later has been pretty horrible. This one is actually better than I remembered!

This album defined the emo scene for the early 2000s and holds up to that standard today. There’s something about the guitar solo in The Middle that gets me singing every time.
