One of the great disco albums ever. Donna summer plays the 'tart with a heart' on this hugely influential LP. Working again with Giorgio Moroder, this is a brilliant concept album featuring superb tracks such as, hot stuff, sunset people, and the title track. There's a couple of ballads but most of it is great funky late seventies disco. Excellent. (Edited)
Smooth transitions contrast with an album that goes on for a little too long.
Hot stuff and bad girls good one two punch for a disco album. This and on the radio are probably Donna's best albums over a multi decade career (Edited)

Much more compelling than I anticipated, especially at double-album length. The slower side three is definitely the weak point, but it picks up again for a strong finish. (Edited)
Shortlisted for album of the year at the Grammys in 1980. The winner that year was 52nd Street by Billy Joel (Edited)
