Four Seasons of Love is a bold experiment that showcases Donna Summer's evolution from provocative disco to a more mature, cinematic sound. Although it did not achieve commercial success, the album solidified her reputation as one of the most creative artists in the disco scene. It is worth listening to for its:
exquisite arrangements;
emotional storytelling;
visual aesthetics that complement the musical narrative.
Rating: 8/10 — an album for fans of conceptual pop music and disco with an intellectual undertone.

Four Seasons was the 3rd of the Donna Summer "concept" albums from 1975-76 produced by Giorgio Moroder, Love to Love You & A Love Trilogy preceded it. All 3 albums are similar but this album & A Love Trilogy have stood the test of time. Heavily edited versions of Spring Affair & Winter Melody were released as singles.
This is not your run of the mill disco album. In fact this is a electronica ambiance concept Album about a love affair and how it evolves over time like the 4 seasons. Also.. it served as a great background for the real thing. For those who cringe at such an album ... check some of it out on Youtube.
