deserves its cult status
Twee meets psych meets dream meets baroque. This is some of the most unabashedly beautiful pop recorded this decade. Perhaps Candy Claws really did travel in deep time and discovered the music sung by plants...

Sometimes it presents a wonderful shoegaze experience, but sometimes it gets a little weird in the melodies. Like in the second, some of the chords gave me a little bit of a circus-y vibe, which is always off-putting and not super enjoyable

It's cool, but I'm not big on their sound.

While the entire album is a beautiful experience, Fell In Love (At the Water) is absolute bliss. Don't think I've had a song in my head this long since Good Kid Maad City released
Best album of 2013, for sure.
This album packs a lot if you can decipher the walls of sound.
It's so richly dense in texture and sound that it is quite mesmerizing. The vocals at times feel a bit too samey but there is enough variety in the melodies that it does not take much away from the experience.
