Kevin Shields said that in a couple years from now this album is going to make more sense. Idk I love this now though, definitely grows on you the more you come back to it.
Actual review type thingy:
Personally, I just found this album a bit boring. I've got nothing against it, nor do i think you can't like it, but I just didn't like it. Of course I have nothing against this album, it does have some qualities I enjoyed.
As far as the tracks go, I did enjoy the last three tracks a lot. It's possible this album might be a grower so I will definitely give it some more chances later on during this year, but for now, it's just something I'm not into.
I don't understand the issue here, HMeal and why you take it so personal. Your comment simply is not being considered as helpful (which is supposed to be the idea behind this feature) nor is considered to be the opinion of the majority (which is how most people use the feature).
Hence, it was downvoted.

This sort of music usually goes right over my head. I was not expecting to get this but, I'm actually enjoying it quite a bit.
Love it, loved it from the very first listen. The production is up-to-date and just as cutting edge as Loveless, which is funny given as the first 4 tracks or so will trick you into thinking mbv to be a bonified Loveless 2.0. Yet as the album progresses it becomes clear that Kevin Shields has spent every inch of his being (and has surely not wasted the past 22 fucking years) into making sure he creates something special again. The instrumental sections are executed to near-perfection and unsurprisingly "tripping-balls-good" and B'linda Butcher's vocals are just as soothing as ever, almost like a mother nurturing you through the violent storm known as "Shoegaze". Maintains it's spot as my favourite record of 2013.
