Unlike the more atmospheric Airplane, this album is chock full of beg power chords and straight ahead arena rock. But that doesn't mean it isn't an excellent album. Grace's voice is at it's biting, most powerful best and Craig Chaquico brings some real fire to the guitar work. Despite being an obvious product of its era, I never tire of this one.
Probably their best during the Mickey Thomas era, along with Freedom At Point Zero. They still rock here, but are a few years away from the total pop of Starship. This gets the edge over Freedom because Grace Slick returns with this album and vocally was at the peak of her game, and she and Mickey sounded phenomenal together here.
