Subtitled "Roxette's Greatest Hits" this Swedish duo gets a certain bad rap as being "too lightweight", "a Starship imitator", and "pure pop", but over a ten year period they turned out hit after hit which were actually pretty good for a pair coming from the homeland of previous pop purveyor's ABBA. The quality of their material is demonstrated here on this retrospective, which includes 4 newly-penned songs to augment the previous hits. I wasn't a big fan of Roxette when they were initially thrust upon the music scene - however, their songs have grown on me. a fun summer listen.
