Something totally different from the year 1968. A fine departure from the shortlived psych era towards the blooming beginning of prog. This is a very challenging and groundbreaking album, but I think that this is a little know gem beyond the fanbase!
While "Release of an Oath" was not a commercial success upon its initial release, it has since become a cult classic and is regarded as one of the most unique and innovative albums of its time. The album's emphasis on orchestration and its religious themes was ahead of its time. The feeling of the prog vibes is so evident. The
the opening track is simply astonishing! With each listen, this must be the best unknown albums of this genre.
Standout tracks: Holy Are You, Our Father Our King and General Confessional. This is a very short album even for 60¨s but who cares, listen to it! It also sounds very good for its age.
