Norma Waterson is best known for her work with Waterson-Carthy and the family band The Watersons, but here she strikes out alone for a folk-rock covers record which ticks plenty of boxes. Everything here pleases the ear (perhaps the final track is a couple of minutes too long) and there are enough peaks to make it worth a listen, even if folk isn't your preferred genre. A good, solid album.
