Very much an album that went under the radar but this is very good indeed
The below user is a right, this is a lot darker and even more well planned than any of their previous albums. It feels like they are trying to be something more than a rock band here. The whole art thing. Very long songs and some which are lot more subtle than say 'North Country Boy'. 'Forever' sets the high bar for this album. It's an amazing staggering song although if you don't like it I'm not sure what else here will win you over.

A masterpiece. A pity this album went 'missing' during '98-'01 dip in commercial popularity of indie rock. There is a dark,sinister edge to this album see Good Witch. Full of conviction with no filler it ranges from the sweet Impossible, the meandering Forever to the groove A House is Not A Home.
The fact this album isn't in the top 10 of 1999 doesn't do it justice, I put it in my top 10 of all time. Tellin' Stories was good but this is just magnificent. The Blind Stagger and Impossible the stand out tracks from a an album where The Charlatans where on top form, with a big departure from the baggy sound of their previous albums.
