Peak Charlatans for me. Consistent and unfettered Charlatans sound before the gravitational pull of Dylan and Stones on their music. (Edited)
I am amazed that this the album isn't ranked higher. Pretty much flawless in my opinion. Captures the time and the sound perfectly. (Edited)
Weirdo is the best track - an absolutely brilliant song on a generally very tuneful, well played album. Lots of swirling Hammond organ - always a plus point!
Very well played album throughout. Sometimes this band can have album tracks which are not exciting yet here there are no such. While there is The Only I Know song it should be great to anyone who think Some Friendly great! Also listen to the later albums while you here. I think their self titled is good!

Missing some of the sharp tunes displayed on the debut it is a slight dissapointment. However, I Can't Even Be Bothered is brilliant.
