Surprisingly good and underrated.
Jun and enjoyable to listen.
Synthpop sequel is thankfully a lot calmer than the "in your face" arrogant tunes on their self-titled debut. La Roux flirt with a more laidback, summery new-wave style and it pays off well.
A breezy, cohesive and fun record that eschews 2014 pop norms to create something more fresh and timeless. Impressive piece of work!

I really liked her first album but I found this better. I was surprised by the change in direction a little but on repeat listening found myself thinking how much more polished and better this one feels.
A very logical sounding follow-up to her debut. While the songs don't have the singular power of the tracks off the first, that may change for me upon repeated listens. The finales of each of these songs are extremely song. I wish Chromeo's release this year had sounded this focused and clean sounding. While I can't say it's better than the first, I don't want it to seem like this is a bad album. Quite the opposite in fact.
